26 APR 2012: Returning to Canada from a foreign trip will soon be as simple as ABC at many Canadian airports as the federal government expands a pilot programme at Vancouver International Airport that uses self-serve kiosks to screen passengers.
26 APR 2012: A large sculpture at the JFK Airport has been doing dual duty as a piece of artwork and a deterrent for smuggling contraband. Now after 14 years management wants to remove the piece to make room for food stands.
26 APR 2012: A Los Angeles bound jetliner made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy Airport. Delta Air Lines spokesman Anthony Black said Flight 1063 encountered a ``bird strike'' on the plane's right side engine just after taking off about 3 p.m. last week. The the pilot decided to land as a precautionary measure.
26 APR 2012: A faulty alarm system forced a Virgin Atlantic plane to make an emergency landing earlier this week. The aircraft flying from Britain to Orlando, returned to London's Gatwick Airport for an emergency landing when a series of alarms went off during the flight, prompting the crew to decide to return to the airport. Emergency slides were used to evacuate passengers injuring some of them.
30 APR 2012: I have been in heaven the last few days – well my version of heaven anyway. Just about the only thing missing is either one of George Clooney or Hugh Jackman. And I see that Mr Clooney was in Washington on Saturday night with a previous commitment, attending the White House Correspondents Dinner (did you laugh at the hockey mom, pit bull joke delivered impeccably by President Obama? 30 APR 2010: Capping Cruise Lines International Association’s (CLIA) annual cruise3sixty conference at the Broward County Convention Center, the cruise industry turned out yesterday to support the US Travel Association’s “Vote Travel – Get America Moving” grassroots campaign to call attention to the economic importance of the travel industry.
30 APR 2010: MSC Cruises will homeport a ship in Miami for the first time. Richard Sasso, president of MSC Cruises USA, announced the deployment at CLIA’s Cruise3sixty conference. The Divina is the line’s 12th ship, and will feature the MSC Yacht Club.

30 APR 2012: According to a survey of over 1,400 travel professionals, nearly two-thirds (62 percent) of respondents who were familiar with the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibits (MICE) sector, reported they are likely or possibly likely to book an onboard meeting or event in the next year.
